"I've been living with HS for 20 years in silence. Having someone to talk to that's relatable, I feel the energy of: it's all love. It's family oriented. It's togetherness."

There’s a high rate of isolation, shame, & suicide in the HS community. One way to combat these alarming statistics is to create tangible spaces that foster community. Seeing others who look like you & experience what you have validates difficulties that can be foreign to the people who surround HS warriors on a daily basis. As they are affirmed and validated, we hope that they can connect with each other and cultivate an inner circle of friends and chosen family to lean on when times get rough. We say that you don't have to battle this condition alone, but the point is moot without opportunities to foster a sense of community.
